ProInspire published a report in 2015 on Social Impact Fellowships,  which included data from a field-wide survey. The research found a strong desire for collaboration within the fellowship industry. In fact, nearly 100% of survey respondents indicated that they would like to identify ways to share best practices and work with other fellowship programs to address common challenges. In response to this desire, Atlas Corps, ProInspire, and Public Allies came together to organize the first-ever Impact Fellowships Summit in 2016. Over 70 professional from 46 organizations gathered for a day of shared learning and community, and 100% of post-survey respondents expressed interest in continued collaboration and a Summit in 2017.

The Impact Fellowships Summit is a one-day convening of leaders and managers of social impact fellowship programs. By bringing individuals together, we will:

  • Create an inclusive learning and sharing community for individuals who work on impact fellowship programs to identify common challenges, share best practices, and create solutions
  • Identify and act on opportunities for collective action as a means of improving the quality and impact of fellowship programs
  • Foster ongoing collaboration and support among community members
